Between 3 and 6 July 2023 DigiMedia researchers Luís Pedro, Mónica Aresta and Rita Santos participated in the organization and dynamization of some of the modules of the training course “Bridging the gap between HE and the labour market” in the University of Aveiro. This course was specifically directed at HE teachers and young people educators.

For four days, the participants had the opportunity to learn more about topics such as online communication and netiquette, information literacy, cybersecurity, health protection and well-being, and online content creation, and how to integrate such topics in the classroom. It was also a great opportunity for teachers and educators to share experiences, ideas and feedback among themselves and with the Back2Basics project team that will certainly be very useful for all the project’s results and outputs.

This training course is going to be followed by a pilot program that will challenge participants to think and introduce some activities in their classes to develop higher education students’ digital skills.
