Students@DigiMedia is a scientific research initiative promoted by DigiMedia – Digital Media and Interaction Research Center that aims to encourage student participation in scientific research activities by involving them in projects led by DigiMedia researchers. Participation in these activities is entirely voluntary, and students can count on the support and mentoring of the proposing researchers throughout the project.
Following a pilot edition (students@DigiMedia#00) involving five teachers and students, the initiative was extended to include all those studying and researching in the field of Communication Sciences and Technologies.
The first edition took place in the academic year 2021/22, with 31 students from all study cycles participating in the 13 projects proposed by 24 DigiMedia researchers, and the second edition had 20 projects involving 51 students from all study cycles in the CTC area.
In the third edition (2023/24), in an effort to promote interdisciplinary collaboration capable of generating even more ideas, the doors were opened to the participation of 1st and 2nd cycle students from all scientific fields. 42 students from disciplines such as Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Design, Informatics, Languages, Health and Physics took part in this edition, working on 18 projects led by 22 DigiMedia researchers.
In order to further strengthen the collaboration between the research units of the UA, the 4th edition is open to the submission of proposals by researchers from all UA, regardless of the scientific field.
