Biography

Sofia Ribeiro is a PhD student in Information and Communication in Digital Platforms with a scholarship from FCT since 2022. Her PhD research focuses on developing a digital capacitation model for teachers through the creation of tangible educational resources.
She holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Communication (July 2021) and a Degree in New Communication Technologies (July 2019), both from the University of Aveiro. She participated as a Research Fellow in three research projects: the EduCITY project, GEOMETRIX thematic line, and Gamers4Nature project being the author and co-author of several book chapters and conference papers. Since 2018 she has been involved in the organisation of scientific events, and since 2021 in the scientific review committee of national and international conferences and journals.
Her research interests within Social Sciences and emphasis on Sciences and Technologies of Communication, have as frequent areas of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production: Human-Computer Interaction, User-Centred Design, User eXperience, User Interface, Digital Literacy and Competencies, Digital and Tangibles approaches, Educational Resources, Environmental Awareness, Digital and Mobile Games, and Gamification.
