Francisca Rocha Lourenço, student of the Doctoral Program in Multimedia in Education and DigiMedia researcher, was nominated for the Best Student Paper Award at the 11th edition of the International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Ageing Well and e-Health (ICT4AWE 2024), which took place between April 6 and 8 in the city of Porto, Portugal.

The nomination follows the presentation of the scientific Paper entitled “Social media as a tool for promoting inclusion: an analysis of the Facebook and Instagram pages of inclusive spaces”, presented on April 6th. The Paper critically analyzes the role of social media in promoting inclusion, focusing on the communication strategies used by inclusive spaces on the Facebook and Instagram platforms.

The nomination for this international award represents an important recognition of the quality of the work carried out, reinforcing the relevance of the research conducted within DigiMedia.
