Currently, Priscila Fontoura is a New Media PhD student at UA. Her doctoral research focuses on infocommunication, audiovisual repositories and science communication.
She has been working as a documentary filmmaker, video editor and cultural agent for almost two decades, with entities that stand out both in the arts and in science communication. Co-founder of Lula Gigante (2010) and founder of Acordes de Quinta cultural webzine (2006). She holds a master’s degree in Documentary Film from ESMAD and a degree in Sound and Image from the Catholic University of Porto. In 2013, worked in Tel Aviv (Israel) at a video production company. She won the uniMAD/ESMAD Applied Artistic Research prize. She collaborated with CIIMAR; Maelstrom project; MHNC-UP; University of Porto and Fábrica Ciência Viva of Aveiro.
