Martinho is currently a PhD student in New Media at the University of Aveiro, in which he studies the impact of multimodal graphic interfaces in the adoption and usability of EICT among older adults. Additionally he wants to understand how adapting these tecnologies to older adults can minimize the feelings of self-ageism. He holds a master’s degree in Multimedia Communication as well as bachelor’s degree in New Communication Technologies, both from the University of Aveiro. He was part of the +TV4E Project team, where he designed and developed iTV apps destined to promote info-inclusion of Portuguese older adults and later of the TRUE Project, where also developed a web apps to create and manage school newspapers. Additionally, he worked as a full-stack programmer for the private sector, where he developed and maintained web applications for the school management system UNICARD.
