Mariana holds a Degree in Journalism (University of Coimbra, 2008), a Master’s degree in Journalism (Escola Superior de Comunicação Social de Lisboa, 2010) and a Master’s degree in Teaching English in Primary School (University of Aveiro, 2023). She has worked as a teacher of English and Portuguese as a Foreign Language. She has collaborated as a research fellow in the Erasmus+ project DiCE.Lang – Digital citizenship Education and Foreign Language Learning (2020-2023). She also has experience in management tasks and research activities.

Her research interests are related to language education, teacher training and science communication.

She is currently working as Science and Technology Manager at DigiMedia.
