Currently pursuing a PhD in Multimedia in Education at the University of Aveiro (UA), Joana holds a master’s degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia from Escola Superior de Comunicação Social. Her work experience ranges from Learning Experience Design (LXD) to children’s books illustration. In addition, she is Disability Awareness Speaker and a published author. Her first book, “A Joana Joaninha só tem uma pintinha” (2022) celebrates diversity and inclusion, encouraging young readers to embrace what is unique. Her research covers the participatory design of digital educational games aimed at preschoolers.
