Biography

Jenifer Grieger is a New Media PhD student at the University of Aveiro (UA) and in Information Management at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) – on cotutelle doctoral program.

She has a master’s degree in information management (2020) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (2016). Jenifer is a researcher on the Information & Media Lab (InfoMedia) at UFPR, and in the Digital Media and Interaction Research Centre (DigiMedia) at UA. Her doctoral research delves into the intricate relationship between body image and digital vulnerabilities, focusing on platforms like Instagram.

Jenifer Daiane Grieger is currently pursuing her PhD in New Media program at the University of Aveiro through Information Management at Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) enrolled in a cotutelle doctoral program. She holds a master’s degree in information management and has specialized in Strategic Business Management. Additionally, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Her doctoral research delves into the intricate relationship between body image and digital vulnerabilities, focusing on platforms like Instagram. Under the guidance of Lídia Oliveira (UA) and Rodrigo Eduardo Botelho-Francisco (UFPR), Jenifer explores this complex terrain. She actively contributes to two prominent research groups: the DigiMedia Research Centre at the University of Aveiro and the Information & Media Lab – InfoMedia in Brazil. These affiliations connect her with renowned research networks such as JorTec/SBPJor, Rede GIC, and Rede Brasil. Jenifer’s research interests include topics on Cyberculture, such as Digital Platforms, digital consumption patterns, Social Network Analysis (SNS), and aspects of digital vulnerabilities.
