Syeda Faryal Hussain Khurrum is a PhD student in Multimedia in Education at the University of Aveiro . She has an Undergraduate degree in Design with a specialization in Fashion Design from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design and a Mphil in Art Education from the Beaconhouse National University. She is a member of the Fashion design council of Pakistan and has run her own fashion design brand for over a decade with a client base in South Asia, UK and the USA. Simultaneously she has worked as a higher education lecturer for Art and Design, in Government run universities in Pakistan. She has also developed and run a vocational training program for underprivileged women in 66 locations in Pakistan working with Fauji foundation which runs the biggest Charitable trust based organization for Health and Education in Pakistan. Before moving to Portugal to start her PhD she was teaching undergraduate degrees in Fashion Design in Pakistan affiliated with the University of Creative Arts in the UK and Pearson.
