Fabrício Marques is a PhD student in New Media at the University of Aveiro and a researcher at DigiMedia. His doctoral research focuses on the impact of immersive technologies on healthy ageing. He holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Communication for New Media from the University of Aveiro (2024) and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Brasília (2008). In addition to his academic work, he has developed a 15-year career in news media, working as a reporter, editor, and producer. His research interests include immersive technologies, audiovisual communication, active and healthy ageing, and the technological inclusion of vulnerable populations.
