Elton Vieira da Silva holds a degree in Information Systems from the University of Pernambuco (Brazil -2008), a degree in Design from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil – 2009), and a Master’s in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil – 2012). Currently, he is a professor of technical and technological education at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco – Brazil.

As a Ph.D. student in Multimedia in Education, current research the impacts of new media on the teaching and learning process. Specifically, he seeks to understand how the development of podcasts can enhance student engagement levels.
