Biography

Davys is a violinist and music therapist with extensive professional experience. Throughout his work, he has promoted the use of technology and pedagogical differentiation in favour of the participation of all children in music teaching/learning processes.

He was awarded a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology – FCT of Portugal (2020 – 2023), during the development of his doctorate he carried out an internship at the Music Informatics Laboratory of the University of Milan (Italy), the University of Aveiro (Portugal) awarded him the title of European Doctor of Education (2024) for his thesis entitled “Inclusion of children with Cerebral Palsy in Art Eduscation Programmes of Music: from research to action” and recently the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation (2025) distinguished him with Merit and Honour for his consistent and meritorious research work.

Davys currently has more than 70 publications, 10 indexed in SCOPUS. The most frequent terms that contextualise his scientific production in favour of child development and well-being are: Learning, Communication, Pedagogical Differentiation, Action Research, Artistic-Musical Expressions, Music Technology, Technology Enhanced Learning, ICT, Assisted Technology, Cerebral Palsy, Special Health Needs, Participation and Inclusion.
