Daniela has a Sciences background in Biology and she holds a long research path in Ecology and Molecular Microbiology, since her PhD (2010). However, simultaneously, over the past years she also coordinated or participated in several projects regarding Science Communication, Environmental Education and Citizen Science, which have strengthened her interest for these areas. Recently, she also took a post graduation in History of Sciences and Sciences Education and a microcredential in Digital Storytelling. All this led her to the post-doc she is now developing at DigiMedia, aiming to focus her research on the Public Engagement with Science using multimedia, particularly targeting the younger ones.
