Giorgia Rossi is currently a PhD student in New Media at the University of Aveiro (UA). She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (2022) from Libera Università Maria Santissima Assunta (LUMSA) in Rome. After graduating, she completed the professional licensing process to become a psychologist. The main aim of her PhD project is to investigate the impact of social media and digital tools on adolescents’ and young adults’ self-esteem and mental health. She also focuses on the role of serious game as a preventive and therapeutic tools. At the DigiMedia Laboratory, she explores the role of engagement in serious game applications.
