Call for papers for the Special issue of Sensors is open

Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220; CODEN: SENSC9) is the leading international peer-reviewed open access journal on the science and technology of sensors. Sensors is published semimonthly online by MDPI.

The Special Issue “Simplified Sensing for Ambient Assisted Living in Smart Homes”, that belongs to the section “Sensor Networks” is open for submission until 31 May 2021. Jorge Ferraz de Abreu (DigiMedia member) and Ángel García Crespo (member of the Advisory Board of DigiMedia) are Guest Editors of this special issue.

This Special Issue invites researchers to carry out studies and identify potential avenues to expand the studies on existing and develop new systems to improve the quality of life of older people in single-person households and also promotes the use of sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) in a non-invasive way, in order to make elderly people feel safe, but at the same time comfortable at home.
