The main objective of this project is to develop a digital game aiming the prevention and awareness of dating violence, exploring digital media potential in diverse fields, which calls for a collaborative effort, the project crosses different areas, namely: (i) game design, development and evaluation; (ii) e-health; (iii) and digital media impact in social, educational and cultural contexts.

VoluntAge4Seniors

This project aims to develop a television application that allows older people, in a simple and quick way, to ask a group of volunteers for support in specific tasks such as small domestic repairs or accompany in a visit to the doctor. It is intended that the application, currently under development, allows that certain actions, such as making a request to a volunteer, can also be performed by voice.

Smart EnterCom

The project aims to develop new product concepts (and their proofs of concept) that can induce a paradigm shift regarding the current practices of corporate ICT usage and their associated fragilities in terms of information management capabilities as well as traceable and structured communication activities.

LEMA

The project aims at the development of a set of training activities with both families and health and educational professionals in order to empower theses groups to better understand the Autism Spectrum Disorders, namely in what concerns math skills and considering he role of digital media in its promotion.

CeNTER-Community-led Networks for Territorial Innovation

This project aims at identifying the policy tools, which best allow for the valorization of territorial resources in order to promote employment and quality of life in Centro Region. The main outcome of the project will be a proposal of a territorial innovation model led by community and powered by digital media, as well as an impact assessment framework that will foster the foundation of an Observatory for Human Capital and regional innovation performance in the University of Aveiro.

Distance Education Quality Assurance Framework at the University Eduardo Mondlane

The aim of this project is to provide technical support to the Distance Education Center of the University Eduardo Mondlane, Mozambique in the development of the Quality Assurance (QA) framework for Distance Education. The project includes the development of the conceptual aspects (QA indicators and standards) and of the QA procedures and instruments.

The Mind Safety – Safety Matters (MS-SM) project aims to improve and innovate methods of teaching safety and health issues in the classroom, motivating and preparing young people to work in safe conditions and to live and learn to be responsible citizens after leaving school.

GAMILearning

The Games for Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Learning project (GAMILearning) aims to develop the critical and participative dimensions of media literacy of tweens, through the gamification of the learning experience. Working with cohorts of youth aged 9 to 12 in Portugal and Austin, Texas, the project builds on field-tested research to address the need for student awareness and skill in managing their digital identities with game play and production.
