DESCRIPTION:The Seminar “Comunicação e Saúde: agenciamento tecnodiverso de elementos contracoloniais em ambientes virtualizados” \, takes place on June 19\, 2024\, from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. The seminar will be led by Maria Clara Niemeyer\, a visiting researcher at DigiMedia\, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – FIOCRUZ. \nThe seminar is in a hybrid format in Room 40.2.5 (DeCA) and online here: https://videoconf-colibri.zoom.us/j/3568125815?omn=93013545212 \nThe seminar is free and will be led in portuguese. \nBio: \nPhD in progress (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation – FIOCRUZ – PPGICS); Lawyer; Master’s in Bioethics\, Applied Ethics\, and Public Health (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ); Specialist in Gender and Law (School of Magistrature of the State of Rio de Janeiro – EMERJ); Specialist in Environmental Law (Candido Mendes University – UCAM); Researcher at the African Political Philosophy Center (Geru Maã Laboratory); Philosopher in training (UFRJ); Urban artist. The academic production focuses are: Bioethics and Biolaw studies; Public Health; African Philosophy studies\, from the perspective of Political Philosophy and counter-coloniality; Language Philosophy studies\, especially concerning the Chinese language. \nAbstract: \nA pesquisa de doutorado foca na autodeterminação em saúde de pessoas que gaguejam e como estas produzem subjetividades na Internet\, usando análise cartográfica digital no Instagram\, especificamente no perfil @gagofonia. Este perfil cria um ambiente de interação e construção de identidades dissidentes em relação à gagueira\, abordando os aspectos sociais\, comunicacionais\, culturais e biomédicos envolvidos. O estudo investiga como essas comunidades digitais podem se tornar “escrevivências digitais” e promover “tecnodiversidade” e “contracolonialidade” cibernética. A “Gagofonia” é vista como um movimento internacional que valida e celebra as vozes gagas.
